Bye, baby bunting

Bye, baby bunting,
Fatherâ??s gone a-hunting,
Motherâ??s gone a-milking,
Sisterâ??s gone a-silking,
And brotherâ??s gone to buy a skin
To wrap the baby bunting in.

Buttons

Buttons, a farthing a pair!
Come, who will buy them of me?
They’re round and sound and pretty,
And fit for girls of the city.
Come, who will buy them of me?
Buttons, a farthing a pair!

Butterfly, butterfly

Butterfly, butterfly,
Whence do you come?
“I know not, I ask not,
Nor ever had a home.”
Butterfly, butterfly,
Where do you go?
“Where the sun shines,
And where the buds grow.”

Burnie bee

Burnie bee, burnie bee,
Tell me when your wedding be?
If it be to-morrow day,
Take your wings and fly away.

The bunch of blue ribbons

Oh, dear, what can the matter be?
Oh, dear, what can the matter be?
Oh, dear, what can the matter be?
Johnnyâ??s so long at the fair.
He promised heâ??d buy me a bunch of blue ribbons,
He promised heâ??d buy me a bunch of blue ribbons,
He promised heâ??d buy me a bunch of blue ribbons,
To tie up my bonny brown hair.

Brow brinky

Brow brinky,
Eye winky,
Chin choppy,
Nose noppy,
Cheek cherry,
Mouth merry.

Brow bender

Brow bender,
Eye peeper,
Nose dreeper,
Mouth eater,
Chin chopper,
Ring the bell,
Knock at the door,
Lift up the latch,
Walk in,
Take a chair,
Sit by there,
How d’you do this morning ?

Bring back your sheep

Iâ??ll introduce–just wait awhile–
A charming maiden by yon stile.
“Ho! pass this way,” aloud weâ??ll mock,
“Shepherdess, lead back your flock;
Lead back, lead back, as you are told,
Your pretty sheep within the fold.”

Brian O’Lin

Brian O’Lin had no breeches to wear,
So he bought him a sheepskin and made him a pair
With the skinny side out and the woolly side in;
“Ah, ha, that is warm!” said Brian Oâ??Lin.

Brian Oâ??Lin and his wife and wifeâ??s mother
They all went over a bridge together;
The bridge was broken and they all fell in.
“Mischief take all!” quoth Brian Oâ??Lin.

Bread and milk

Oh, whether in a mug
Or a little china jug,
Thereâ??s nothing in the world so nice as milk:
When youâ??ve got an appetite
It makes your eyes so bright
And little cheeks as soft as any silk!

Iâ??ve heard it also said,
Nothingâ??s half so good as bread,
If hungry you should ever chance to be;
The miller grinds the corn,
And the baker every morn
Bakes crusty loaves to sell to you and me!

And if you ever wish
For a lovely kind of dish,
To set before me on the breakfast-table,
A basin and a spoon
Some bread-and -milk, and soon
Iâ??ll eat it up as fast as I am able!

Boys and Girls

What are little boys made of, made of ?
What are little boys made of ?
Snaps and snails and puppy-dogsâ?? tails;
And thatâ??s what little boys are made of, made of.

What are little girls made of made of?
What are little girls made of?
Sugar and spice, and all thatâ??s nice;
And thatâ??s what little girls are made of, made of.

The boy in the barn

A little boy went, into a barn,
And lay down on some hay.
An owl came out, and flew about,
And the little boy ran away.

The boy and sparrow

A little cock-sparrow sat on a green tree,
And he chirruped, he chirruped, so merry was he;
A naughty boy came with his wee bow and arrow,
Determined to shoot this little cock-sparrow.
â??This little cock-sparrow shall make me a stew,
And his giblets shall make me a little pie, too.â??
â??Oh, no,â?? says the sparrow â??I wonâ??t make a stew.â??
So he flapped his wings and away he flew.

Boy and Girl

There was a little boy and a little girl
Lived in an alley;
Says the little boy to the little girl,
â??Shall I, oh, shall I?â??
Says the little girl to the little boy,
â??What shall we do?â??
Says the little boy to the little girl,
â??I will kiss you.â??

Bow wow

Bow-wow, says the dog;
Mew-mew, says the cat;
Grunt, grunt, goes the hog;
And squeak goes the rat.

Chirp, chirp, says the sparrow;
Caw, caw, says the crow;
Quack, quack, says the duck;
What cuckoos say you know.

So, with sparrows and cuckoos,
With rats and with dogs,
With ducks and with crows,
With cats and with hogs,

A fine song I have made
To please you my dear;
And if itâ??s well sung
Twill be charming to hear.

Bow wow wow

Bow wow wow,
Whose dog art thou?
Little Tom Tucker’s dog,
Bow wow wow.

Booman

Ding dong for Booman,
Booman is dead and gone
Left seven of a family:
Able, and Anthony,
Richard. and Zachary,
James, Thomas, and John.
Where shall we bury him?

Carry him to London,
By his grandfatherâ??s grave
Grows a green onion.
Dig his grave wide and deep,
Strew it with flowers,
Toll the bell, toll the bell,
Twenty four hours.

Bonny sailor boy

I would not have the shoemaker,
For all his work at the shoes,
But I would have the bonny boy
Who wears the tarry clothes.

For he walks upon the plain stones,
He sails upon the sea,
He wears a coat and a hairy cap,
Itâ??s a sailor -he loves me!

I would not have the blacksmith,
For all his work in the smithy,
But I would have the bonny boy
Who has my heart already.

A sailor, he loves me, ma boys,
A sailor he loves me;
And if I live another year
A sailorâ??s wife Iâ??ll be!

Bonnie Bee

Bonnie Bee, Bonnie Bee,
When will your wedding be?
If it be tomorrow day,
Take your wings and fly away.

Bobby Snooks

Little Bobby Snooks was fond of his books,
And loved by his usher and master;
But naughty Jack Spry, he got a black eye,
And carries his nose in a plaster.
