Golden goose

If the goose that laid the golden eggs
Had not been killed that day,
Sheâ??ll still be laying golden eggs
As hard as she could lay.

In fact if we could manage things,
How different they would be!
But as we canâ??t weâ??ll let them stay
Just as they are, you see.
